A Family of Trees
May 2018 · Loch Maree · Scotland. Nikon D800 · Zeiss Distagon T* 25mm f/2 ZF.2 · 1/4 sec @ f / 18 · ISO 100

It’s been a long time! This is a black & white view of a family of trees on the shore of Loch Maree. I took this picture a little bit more than two years ago. Now that travelling seems very limited I’ve spent some time diving into my archives. I must admit I haven’t made new images for a long time but these last two years I’ve drawn and painted and this gives me a completely new outlook on my images. The ones I’ve already done, and surely the ones I’ll do later when I dust off my camera. Now I see the world differently. Light and shadows, contrasts, perspectives seem sometimes totally new to me. This definitely is an unexpected feeling. And a beautiful one!
